This is a design that I did for the Western Student Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) for the 2009 t-shirt design. The concept was the blending of work and play that is inherit with graphic arts, and the idea that we our work is also something we love to do.
Laveta Tea
This is package design for an organic tea company. The concept was to minimize the amount of materials used in marketing the product, so the package is designed to be glueless and all five types of tea could be packaged using only one press run to produce the packages. The types of tea would be differentiated with labels and the jars could be refilled.
Bibliochic
Bibliochic is a clothing store that plays on the idea of the sexy librarian. The idea of the intelligent, well dressed, feminine and powerful woman is one that is coming into popularity. This store should be modern, young, and feminine, but still retain that intelligentsia vernacular.
Blot + mop
Blot + Mop are top quality sponges
to be found in the best housewares stores. This package consists of two grades: heavy duty for scouring pots, pans, grills, and other hard to clean surfaces; and light duty for mild scrubbing of china, glass, plastics, microwave ovens and the like. The package identity should clearly establish those differences.
Mp33
Where old school and new school meet.
MP33 is a start-up record store which offers both vinyl and digital music files packaged together. In-store the customer buys the vinyl and receives a download code. Online the customer downloads the files instantly and the vinyl is shipped to them. The great thing about this business model is that at either purchase point, customers get instant access to their music.
